KNAPK’s chairman Nikkulaat Jeremiassen turned 61 on Saturday 19 February 2022, and we congratulate him on his birth.
Nikkulaat was born and raised in Niaqornaarsuk, and lived in his homevillage until his election as chairman of KNAPK on October 4, 2021, when he moved to Nuuk. He is a hunter and fisherman.
Nikkulaat was a member of the municipal council of Kangaatsiap Kommunia from 2000-2009, and was elected to Inatsisartut – Greenland Parliament for the first time in the period 2005-2009. He was elected to Inatsisartut in the second term from 2013-2019. Nikkulaat was also elected to the municipal council of Qeqertalik Municipality in the period 2017-2021.
Nikkulaat was Minister of Fisheries, Hunting and Agriculture in the period 2016-2019.
Nikkulaat is married to Kristiane and has four children. Nikkulaat was awarded the Inersisartut Medal of Merit Nersornaat on November 2, 2006.
